A bluestone church, designed by H R Caselli and W B Tappin, built in 1873-4 and based upon plans for St Patrick's, Ballarat and St Patrick's, Port Fairy by the English architect Charles Hansom. An unusually grand design for a small town, this incomplete building has a four-bay clerestoried nave, and west front with a four-light traceried window and statuary niches, flanked by the base of the projected tower.
